WEEK 1
The Audit – Where You Are Right Now
Step 1 of the Abilitive 5-Step Process: Awareness
Before you can rebuild anything, you need to know exactly where you stand. This week is about radical honesty – looking at your life without filters and acknowledging what’s working, what’s broken, and what needs to change.
This is the hardest step for most men. Not because it’s complicated, but because it requires you to stop running, stop numbing, and actually face what’s in front of you.
The “Here” Exercise
Where are you right now? Not where you think you should be. Not where you used to be. Right now.
Rate yourself honestly across each PEMMS pillar:
- Physical: How is your body? Energy levels? Movement? Pain? Sleep?
- Emotional/Mental: How are you actually feeling? What thoughts dominate your day? Are you coping or avoiding?
- Money: What’s your financial reality? Income? Debt? Relationship with money?
- Spiritual: Do you feel connected to something bigger? Do you have purpose? Direction?
The “There” Exercise
Where do you want to be? Not a vague “better” – get specific.
Write down what your rebuilt life looks like across each PEMMS pillar. Present tense. As if you’re already there.
The Gap
The distance between “here” and “there” is your work. Don’t be overwhelmed by it. This program breaks it down week by week. But you need to see the gap clearly first.
Your North Star
Establish your inner compass using the PEMMS framework. Your North Star is the vision of who you’re becoming – it guides every decision, every action, every day of this program.
“I went from ‘why is this happening to me’ to ‘thank you for this happening for me.’ That shift changed everything.” – Lachlan Winter
This Week’s Actions
- Complete the PEMMS Self-Audit worksheet
- Write your “Here” statement (where you are now – honest, raw, no filter)
- Write your “There” statement (where you’re going – specific, present tense)
- Identify your North Star – the vision that pulls you forward
- Attend your first weekly group call
Key Principle
“I am here, this is my life, and I created this reality.”
This isn’t about blame. It’s about authorship. The moment you take full ownership of where you are is the moment you gain the power to change it.
